Aim assist is great for picking people off or to keep people in the storm which is why some of these aim assist players do so well. Reet would get destroyed by Tayson in a 1v1. Most of them are only above average when it comes to every other skill than aim. The "pro" controller players don't need to be as good as Mongraal, Tayson or Clix. They should add the ability to have an edit/reset button on controller. It may compensate for the flaws on bad controllers and bad ping but there's also many things that epic could do to improve controller or make the servers run more efficiently. It doesn't matter how strong or weak it is, it's a mild form of aim bot. It makes players win fights that they wouldn't have won without it. Those weapons are ridiculously strong with aim assist while they're balanced without aim assist. The rapid fire, scar, pulse rifle and infantry rifle are good examples. It makes weapons that aren't overpowered without it overpowered. You can't do triple edits or piece control on standard controllers but you absolutely can with the high quality ones. They have just as good technology as keyboard + mouse. The more expensive controllers are not that way at all. Standard controllers break easily, have a lot of delay and they don't have a lot of buttons for a player to work with. Another issue is that the Fortnite developers made aim assist for cheap controllers on Xbox and PlayStation but they did not consider the 200 - 300 dollar controllers that competitive/pro players use.So it's basically chapter 2 season 2 aim assist which makes it overpowered. It's overpowered because it aim assist was optimized for the old consoles but the new ones have double the strength. I don't really have a problem with aim assist if a player is using a cheap controller but it becomes unbalanced with new gen consoles.r/FortniteMobile - Fortnite: Battle Royale Mobile Useful Linksįortnite Home Page Fortnite Stats TrackerĪtlantis Scrims EU Discord Atlantis Scrims NA Discord NA East Open Scrims Discord NA West Open Scrims Discord EU Open Scrims Discord FNPL NA Scrims NA West High IQ Scrims (NAW Prac Opens) Cano ScrimsįN Mature Boomercord Fortnite over 40 Adult Scrims User ResourcesĬreative List of Practice Courses MegathreadĬonsole Only Tips Megathread (An extension of From Bot To Tryhard Sweat) r/Fortnite - Fortnite: Save the World /r/FortniteBR - Fortnite: Battle Royale /r/FortniteCreative - Fortnite: Creative

That said, it appears the looting options on controller are “hardcoded” and simply not able to easily change, so controller players will still have to stand still while looting a death box for the time being.Fortnite: Battle Royale is a free-to-play Battle Royale game mode developed by Epic Games. The ability to move while looting and quickly swap a player’s body shield is a large reason why fights and third parties in Apex feel so fast and fun, and it appears the devs are quite pleased with that happy accident. Importantly, it’s a bug that Larson says Respawn will never fix, as it’s become such a core combat mechanic to the game. It was never intended to be in the game initially.

Next, Larson talks about moving while looting, and drops one of the most surprising facts in the entire thread: moving while looting on mouse and keyboard is actually a bug.

It’s not a balance issue at all, to Larson, but rather it “exists as a design problem.” With that said, it seems clear that tap-strafing won’t become any more available to controller players any time soon. Instead, he cites combat readability and how movement options that already exist in the game, like Octane’s ultimate or Pathfinder’s grapple, exacerbate how impossible tap-strafing can make reading a combat situation. Nerf: aim assist- C9 PVPX January 6, 2022įirst off, Larson addressed tap-strafing, noting that controller’s lack of natural access to the movement option isn’t his primary problem with it.
